Surah Al-'Adiyat العاديات

The Courser · Chapter 100 · 11 verses · Meccan

Translation: Saheeh International

1. وَٱلْعَـٰدِيَـٰتِ ضَبْحًا

   100:1 By the racers, panting,

2. فَٱلْمُورِيَـٰتِ قَدْحًا

   100:2 And the producers of sparks [when] striking

3. فَٱلْمُغِيرَٰتِ صُبْحًا

   100:3 And the chargers at dawn,

4. فَأَثَرْنَ بِهِۦ نَقْعًا

   100:4 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust,

5. فَوَسَطْنَ بِهِۦ جَمْعًا

   100:5 Arriving thereby in the center collectively,

6. إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ لِرَبِّهِۦ لَكَنُودٌ

   100:6 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.

7. وَإِنَّهُۥ عَلَىٰ ذَٰلِكَ لَشَهِيدٌ

   100:7 And indeed, he is to that a witness.

8. وَإِنَّهُۥ لِحُبِّ ٱلْخَيْرِ لَشَدِيدٌ

   100:8 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense.

9. ۞ أَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ إِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِى ٱلْقُبُورِ

   100:9 But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered

10. وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِى ٱلصُّدُورِ

    100:10 And that within the breasts is obtained,

11. إِنَّ رَبَّهُم بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّخَبِيرٌۢ

    100:11 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Aware.
