خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ

Created man from a clinging substance.

Translation: Saheeh International

Tafsir

created man al-insān the generic from a blood-clot ‘alaq is the plural of ‘alaqa which is a small quantity of congealing blood.
